KAROO KIDS are located on a farm between the remote towns of Victoria West and Loxton in the Northern Cape province, South Africa. Skills transfer and empowerment are at the core of company ethics.

In 2017 Serita Swart identified the potential of the Laslappies Co-op in Loxton. The six ladies were highly motivated to become financially independent and were eager to learn. An intensive training period followed and we now have a working partnership with the Laslappies Co-op to manufacture our top-quality children’s clothing range. Customers share our vision of social responsibility by purchasing garments which are handmade by local women.

Our authentic designs appeal to the trendsetter who is looking for something unique. We have managed to create a fusion of cultures with the combination of the fabric and designs. We only purchase a small quantity of fabric to ensure that our garments stay exclusive. The color will be the same, but the pattern might differ.

The fabric is selected to convey the rustic/country feeling of the area where it was made, namely the Karoo. The clothing range is made from quality khaki twill, shwe shwe, denim and check chambray.

Our slogan says it all: “fashion@play”……in fashion without compromising on comfortability and the activeness of playing children. Sizes from age 1 to age 6.

Karoo Kids is a registered trademark and can be purchased at selected expo’s and online.
